eebuki-deactivated20140105 — love your work!
Thanks! Reblog your faves ;-)
Anonymous — So the style on your blog is so different then the style on your fan page and website, why?
Short answer? because it can be lol. long answer? I love photography i love editing, I love capturing moments. But because photography is my career my heavy photoshop and posed work that can be found on my website and fan page started feeling like work. I was still having fun dont get me wrong but the work that was “me” was missing. Ive changed so much as a person, as an artist, that i wanted to revamp my style but not take away from my client work. I wanted to focus more on the PERSON i was shooting then the final outcome. So because the work is so different i ended up making a tumblr blog JUST for it. LOL problem now is my clients want this look for themselves as well, go figure. Its fine I love it!
Anonymous — I love your blog. I get so excited to see new personalities when you post. I am starting out in photography, although I am to shy for someone at your level to see my work, I wonder, in your opinion what does it take to be a good photographer?
Thanks for the kind words. um, what does it take? It takes an understanding of when not to give up. I don’t care if your mother told you that photography will get you no where or your girlfriend tells you you are working to hard for nothing, or your best friend tells you they dont like your work. you need to not give up you need to push thru the rainy days or days where you just dont want to get up and edit. You need to take whatever style is yours and drill it into the heads of viewers until its 100% recognizable as yours. You are going to deal with critics and people who just find every reason possible to shoot you down but you know what? A good photographer knows that their camera is just a tool to capture a moment or a piece of art. And because photography is art, it is subjective. Once you realize that, you will succeed beyond belief. what others think doesnt matter. so to sum up:
a good photographer:
1. Doesn’t give up no matter what
2. Knows that not everyone will love their work because are is subjective
3. Isn’t scared to fuck up and admit they have made a mistake of any sort
Good Luck and hopefully you will share your vision with the world
